Biography: Crusher was born Beverly Howard on October 13th, 2324 in Copernicus City on Luna (Earth's moon). Crusher graduated from Starfleet Medical School in 2350 and married Jack Crusher in 2348 and gave birth to her son, Wesley in 2349. In 2364, she was assigned to the USS Enterprise-D as chief medial officer. She left in the Enterprise in 2365 to accept an assignment as head of Starfleet Medical, but returned to the Enterprise in 2366. She took command of the Enterprise in 2369 when the rest of the senior staff left to search for Lieutenant Commander Data leaving a skeleton crew behind. Using the metaphasic shield technology she was able to withstand extremely high temperatures near a star which destroyed a Borg ship. In 2372 she, along with the rest of the senior staff, transferred to the Enterprise-E as chief medical officer. During the Ba'ku mission in 2375, Crusher assisted Captain Picard in moving the Ba'ku people away from the Son'a.

When Gates McFadden left at the end of the first season she was replaced with Diana Muldaur's Dr. Pulaski. A large letter-writing campaign and continual support from fans helped bring her back for the third season.
